Thinking of getting a used MG4 trophy with around 20k miles

anyone got any advice or gotten an mg4 at a similar mileage? Thanks in advance
I wouldn't be worried about the battery.

Check it is fully serviced (and thus within warranty) as Jomarkh notes.

One thought is the tyres. Depending on driving style the original ones might be on their last legs after 20k. Or, they might have been replaced and you'll have new ones. Or, if the driving was smooth they might be ok for a good while.

Tyres shouldn't be a dealbreaker by any means. But if all four need replacing soon you'll need to budget around five hundred quid extra for that.

I'm 3 years in with an SE (40000 miles), first car that I've ever had thats has had no problems (still on the same set of tyres), battery is at 47kWh max capacity now (according to MG), but can still do 200 miles before charging is needed, go for it.

I would just add that if the tyres are worn out and can do with replacing it’s better to haggle down the price with the dealer and you organise your own tyres.

The dealership will most likely put the cheapest tyres they can find on there, so you’re better off doing that yourself.

And just be honest and tell them that’s why you want the price down, they probably don’t want to deal with it anyway otherwise they would’ve replaced the tyres before putting it up for sale.

... no worries, must be youth v old age , as dont see much difference between the SE & Trophy, just liked the LFP chemistry on the SE (battery longevity???) as we do around 15k miles a year

Yeah, I will likely not do too many miles so higher mileage isn’t as important for me as long as the battery and tyres haven’t been hit too hard. The features are however important to me as I hesitate a lot when driving so having the one pedal of the 2024 will make it much easier for me, especially on longer journeys.
