Anyone can put a green strip on their number plate. The DVLA merely states it can optionally be placed on a zero emissions vehicle. As there is no such thing as a zero emissions vehicle, it is rather pointless.

The great thing with the pre-FL MG5 is that is looks like a “normal” car so doesn’t stand out in any way.
