Like many others, i have been caught out with that one. Another one to beware of happened to me about 3 weeks ago. Pulled into Sainsburys to do some shopping, retrieved lead from boot and tried to connect up charge lead for some free juice but could not open charge flap. Gave up after several attempts did my shopping, thinking on the way home it would have to be a dealer call in the morning. Tried again when i arrived home and flap opened with no problem at all. After some thought the penny dropped. I had LOCKED the car at Sainsburys BEFORE trying to connect the charge lead which also locks the charge flap among other things . None of my previous ICE cars over the past 50 odd years years have had that facility. You learn something new every day with EV vehicles...
