MG4 (2022-2025)
Hi everyone,

I’ve been driving my MG4 for a while now, and while I love the car's performance, I’m finding the front seats to be incredibly uncomfortable, especially on longer trips. The lack of lumbar support and the overall cushion stiffness are becoming a real deal-breaker for me.

Has anyone here felt the same and actually managed to do something about it?

I’m seriously considering a seat swap. Has anyone successfully installed seats from another car (maybe from a BMW, VW, or even a different MG model)? I’m curious about:

Fitment: Do the rails align or is a custom bracket needed?

Airbags/Electronics: How did you handle the airbag sensors and seat heating connectors?

Software: Did the car throw any error codes after the swap?

If you’ve done a swap or found a high-quality aftermarket solution that doesn't involve just a cushion, please let me know!

Thanks in advance!

I don’t think they mention swapping seats specifically, but you may find some useful nuggets of info in these threads;

I find the seats are quite comfortable, but the wife complains (like that's something new) and Temu have different hand pump lumbar support cushions that might help ......
The poverty pack MG4 51 doesn't get far enough on a charge to get uncomfortable for me, so the walk to the shop for coffee and a loo break and look around is usually enough to loosen up any parts that might have been getting ready to complain .... well, beside the headrest, if it could be set back a bit, that would be great, that pushing the head forward kills my neck since the MVA injury .......
