I am new to this Forum. Just writing this to say that I am very impressed with my first year of trouble free motoring in my Trophy Long Range.
Initially I was apprehensive about converting to an EV but was attracted to the concept. I had test drives in an MG4 Trophy, Cupra Born and BYD Dolphin and thought that the MG was the best option.
The motoring press were raving about what a good buy the MG4 was, backed up by good test drive reports. But they also pointed out the poor customer feedback on reliability. I questioned some friends who had MG EV's and they told me their cars were very reliable with no breakdowns. I checked some of those negative reports on Trustpilot and found that lots were to do with dealership issues and not the car and several did not relate to the MG4 at all. With that in mind I purchased a new Trophy and am very happy with it. With the dreaded LKA switched off I really enjoy driving this car.
Finally, through this forum I found a link to the very good and informative video's about the settings and operating the MG4 by Burl Solomons. I would like to thank him for that.

To the forum. And glad to hear, your enjoying, your MG4. 🙂👍

Welcome to the forum. Glad to hear you enjoy the car as a lot of us do.
I used to switch LKA (and AEB) off before every journey but since the SC077 update was done at the last service I no longer feel the need to do that. It's not perfect but much improved since the update.

I agree with you, it is a great car, I have the same as you with the extended range and a 77kw battery, I have been driving for many years and would say this is the best car I have had.

I agree with Johnny Boy. I have the extended range 77kw and couldn't be happier. 2.5 yrs in, one 40,000km service done. Now at 53,000kms and changed tyres from the original bridgestones at around 50,000kms. The replacement tyres are maxxis and far better in terms of grip, handling and reduced road noise BUT at the cost of reduced range. I am actually surprised at the reduction...could pretty much guarantee 5% per 30km, approx 13.5-14kw per 100km. Now getting 6 to 6.5% per 30km and using around 15kw per 100km. Higher speeds noticeably worse on range. I have had zero issues with mine. Have a tow bar, bike rack and regularly travel with mtb on the back.. my usual start up procedure is OPD on and traffic sign recognition off. LKA has never been an issue for me and actually works well, giving a minor nudge if I do something wrong 😉. Just did a 100% charge ready for a mtb road trip tomorrow and indicates range of 527km
