Vibrating window glass

Hi, I am experiencing an annoying vibration from my drivers door. I think it is the window glass? It happens when driving on most road surfaces, except on the very smooth. It seems to go away with the window down, but then of course I get wind noise so it is difficult to locate. I have nothing in the door pockets or centre consul, empty.
Anyone had a similiar problem? could it be a trim vibration. Help would be appreciated as I have no faith in a dealer locating the problem.
