Just going through the motions of trying their specified 'fix' so can then continue the complaint if (when!) it's proved not to work.
Holding out no hope whatsoever.
No sadly. They made a point of saying the damper would be fitted to 'improve the customer driving experience' - suspect that was on the instruction of MG UK. All admissions to there being problem have been verbal.

Shame you're not nearer, mine got removed this morning ..... DAMPER FIX REJECTED for my car.

Many thanks for posting the FB post and especially the pdf. It would appear that MG finally know what the ultimate source is and how to fix it. It is what was rumoured - not a cheap fix !!

What's truly shocking to see is the date for the damper fix was 15th October last year!!!!
That shows they must have been taking heed of Chinese owner customer complaints to have even thought about trying to cure it!

I gave Gamora her first interior clean today and guess what I found down the back of the glovebox, the CoC! My build date was 12th August 2023, so she'd been sat for a year before she was shipped to me!
I'm going on a proper run Friday and Saturday so I can test how bad the vibration is, I put 40psi into the tyres yesterday but haven't driven her since.

The dates are in American format I believe so just doublechecking yours is not 8th December 2023 ??
Mine shows as 07/28/2023 so definitely 28th July 2023 (collected 25 September 2023)

I wonder how much extra it is just to fix the suspension straight away instead of the cost of working on the tyres first...then fitting the damper next...then when all else fails, the suspension last?

I would suggest all of you do affected with this issue get your heads together and as a group all of you reject your vehicles at the same time. I would think that would make MG take a proactive approach to this issue instead of the reactive one they’re currently taking.

After showing them the TI above, MG UK have just advised my (very embarrassed) dealer that the Sub-Frame fix hasn't been approved for the UK market yet. However they have just approved the repair for my vehicle as a one-off. IF I WANT IT. At the moment, I've lost all faith and trust in MG UK. My car was manufactured in July 2023 and my first complaint went in by email the day after I collected the car. The dealer has been amazing, but I need to decide whether to stick with it or go down the Consumer Sales Act and invoke my right to reject faulty goods.

Yes, that will be the diagnostic fee for the dealer to look at something. This applies after 3 months from new purchase. The prices vary (my local dealer charges £100).It's been said that it's the rear right driveshaft that is the issue, spookily they changed your rear right tyre?
I suspect I will get the same when my car goes into the dealership but I've been told that I have to pay £120 for the dealership to even look at the issue.
If it's a warranty job, I'll get my £120 back
It is pretty pernicious because you can easily take the car in and they will detect no problem / fail to reproduce and you are then charged the fee.
I know this isn't unique to MG, but I wouldn't expect this to apply so early in the ownership experience.
