VOICE COMMANDS MG ZS EV TROPHY 2024

I try to use Google Maps which works really well just talking to the phone but when talking to Google Maps through the MG Android Auto just doesn't respond at all. I guess the MG microphone input isn't passed through. Yep, voice commands are just another of the plethora of frustrations with this car.

I use android auto and google maps for navigation because they have live updates and generally quite up to date - never had any problems with voice input for destination place and, mind you, I do have some funny accent ...

Slight hijack of the thread here.

How do I tell if my car has V2L? It's a October 2022 LR Trophy. I believe it should have but some of the comments in this thread started me wondering. (I know I can't connect to the house wiring, but there's usefulness short of that.)

That leads onto is there anything I should be careful about buying a V2L lead or adaptor? I imagine an MG branded one will require a house re-mortgage....

Since you posted in the voice command, have you tried "ZS, start discharging"?

There are V2L posts on the forum with lot of discussions, just serch on ZS forum for V2L. Mine is also 2022 Tropy and V2L works. I bought converter on eBay, you can get it for £20 or so and if it doesn't work, the guy will take it back. That way you can try, all you lose is postage back ...

I also bought one from eBay. It works perfectly on my 2022 ZS Trophy.

It just occurred to me that, with the Mk2 Trophy LR and it's lack of real buttons, the voice commands can come into their own.
