so..
currently, my MG 4 has a 8 year / 160,000 km battery warranty
and 5 year / 100,000 km FREE parts and service
and 4 years /unlimited km warranty of the car.

seems pretty standard isn't it compared to other manufacturers?
but...

word on the street is, they're DOUBLING the warranties for a certain number of people.

So, if it happens..

I'll get
16 years / 320,000 km battery warranty
10 year/ 200,000 km FREE service and parts.
8 years / unlimited KM warranty of the car. ( not sure if they doubling it)

so my question to all,

Does it really matter? I mean if its ICE car, its a GOOD deal.
But since we're dealing with EV, whose nature is rapid development, ever changing techs, ever upgrading hoohas, you know , like the iphone, " the fastest, the biggest, the quickest, " you know the drill..

I mean, sure I have a peace of mind driving this car for 16 years...
but would an average person would drive a car till their children is old enough to vote?
16 years to drive ! car is really a commitment..
especially in the world of EV, everything is moving so fast and at the same everything is becoming obsolete so fast.

Lets discuss what you think.
I'm curious really.
Thanks all.

I’m knocking on 66 and get my state pension next month, so‘If’ our (23) ZS TLR is good for 10 years without any major issues and the battery still gives us, say 100-150 miles range in summer we will be happy.

Interested in who the certain people are lol? 16 years battery warranty would be amazing. Yeah 7 years in UK I think and even infotainment system and other big parts don't get covered after 3 years if I remember correctly, battery is main part covered for 7.
