wavering due to lack of information

Are we being infiltrated by Renault sales people ;)
:) peut-être ;) mais non!

I have been a Ford man all my driving life (40+ years) and had 22 of them. If Ford did reasonably priced electric cars I would have stayed with them (apparently no sign of a Puma electric till 2024, so mach e at 50k+ is only option)

I was very very reluctant to look at Renault, as I am of a certain age, when I thought of the name I immediately pictured a rust bucket naff car...

au revoir :)

Ah a man.. après mon propre coeur.. I had a Mk1 Escort (with go faster stripes), a M2 Escort (with raised leaf springs) and RS2000 (in orange) a Sierra (in golden brown) and Capri 2.8. Great days

can't resist the digression :) I envy you with those models! I had capri, cortina, escorts, orions, focuses, mondeo and Puma. Ghia and vignale were my 'special' ones...
I need to lay down and reminisce now - my capri was a 1.3 LMAO I'm drooling thinking of the 2.8

Bet you wish you still had them! They are probably £120k+ worth at todays market value!

I've often thought about that.... but i'd have needed a good few large cared for barns to keep them in. Otherwise, I guess there would be some engines & seats in amongst piles of rust.

I am now starting to waiver.

Ordered an MG4 SE LR on the 1st October and was told 6 weeks, then 16 weeks. Been chasing the dealer once a month and have been told January is when I’ll get it.

Emailed the dealer today and they said they they’re still waiting for confirmation from MG what stock is on its way to the U.K. and nothing has arrived yet, but should do before the end of January - so no guarantee that what I ordered will be in the boat.

I’m seeing a few used ID3’s with low mileage in my price range and I’m tempted to cancel my order and get one…

Big decision and only you can make it, I've been there.

Has the purchase price altered? Not sure if you’re involved with a pcp but those rates have increased too.

I cancelled my MG4 pre-order and bought a pre-facelift MG5 (From a different dealer) because the dealer still couldn't give me an estimate which I then had a load of problems with going into Limp mode (Hopefully finally sorted).

Also pretty sure when I Pre-ordered the dealer claimed the 99 deposit was refundable, which they claimed otherwise when I cancelled the order.

Looking at the number of issues people are getting with the 4 here I'm kinda glad I didn't get it now, I think it needs some time to iron the major bugs out.
