What is this round thing in between windscreen vents? Sorry if this is a daft question, but I can't find it in the manual ( no i haven't read it cover to cover).

Sensor used by the HVAC control the cabin temperature.

Light sensor for displays inside the car. If you drive through a tunnel on a sunny day you'll notice it detects the change in light and therefore adjusts the display etc
