Hi MG 5 community

Has anybody experienced difficulties in changing wheels by themselves - specifically with the tyre pressure monitoring function after wheel change.

Thanks, Martin

To the forum. 🙂👍

I rotated my tyres/wheels on my PFL as the rears had hardly any wear but the fronts were getting close to the limit- I knew I was getting rid within 6 months (to get my FL) and didn’t want to shell out for new tyres.
The TPMS continued to work but they don’t reset to their new location. It showed the fronts as backs and backs as the fronts. Not an issue if you know which tyre is actually which , and if you have the right equipment you can recode them

I did exactly the same thing on my MG4, coming to the end of the PCP contract, it was headliningng off to auction, the rears were wearing a a bit, so rotated front for back, they still worked, but obviously not correctly, so someone somewhere will be looking at a front wheel needing pumping up, but it'll be a rear, bad boy me! 😂🎡🤔
