Wheel trims have paint peeling off

Yeah, that's got to be fake grass 🟩, it looks too good to be real. 😊
No fake plastic grass here mate only the real stuff all 3 one to the front and 2 at the rear but thanks to all for your kind comments.

Exceptional Les, that's probably better than the grass at Wimbledon 🏆

Nice Lawn, but back on message, has anyone had this is fixed under warranty, or, are there alternatives to the stock ones as the new ones will also fail in a year or two? Are there any other alternatives: aero alloys, replacement hubs etc?

Thanks for the lawn comment, but yes back on thread these wheel covers are well secured by some strong lugs which fit into a particular slot in the alloy behind them the like of which I have never come across in sixty years of vehicle ownership so I’m not sure you would be able to fit a different brand or type.

Is that price for a set of 4 then, it says 1PCS ?

Yes see my pictures #45 they chip in the middle of the wheel not on the edge bit strange.
But the very annoying thing still remains this should not be happening to paint or lacquer which ever it is.

They are for steel rims, the MG4 has alloys wheels. No chance of them ever fitting.

I'm reviving this thread.
Anyone else had this problem happening to their wheel covers?
I've noticed that both my front wheels are suffering from this now. The offside is worse with the lacquer peeling off at several points. On the nearside the lacquer is just bubbling.

Definitely sunburn IMO. I've been using hand car wash places for nearly 3 years with mine and the trims are as new. My car is parked on my drive with a hedge on the South side so the trims have never been subject to sunlight.

Looks like they have detachable centre caps, do they fit the wheel itself or are they a different size ?

Mine aren't peeling, but they show signs of bubbling .. mostly on the nearside front which is the wheel that sees the most sunlight when the car is reverse-parked on my drive.

Am I correct in noticing it is only the SE covers (17") that seem to do this? My Trophy covers did fine in the Aussie sun for almost two years, until they broke when they tried to take them off at the tyre shop. I left them there to be disposed of.
