When's the next MG5 delivery?!!

in May --> delivery September (I was happy and signed also because of this)
in June --> delivery end of October (I felt some inconvenience)

in Augustus --> Sir probably not even this year anymore maybe beginning next year April (I feel cheated on)

It is a worrying situation since I have to be the one contacting the dealer and ask what is going on and there is no real outlook on a delivery. I hope the dealership at least is starting to feel some urgency since we ordered the car based upon what was promised to us in May. But hey I might get lucky and I will stay persistent to give them a call once a month.

MG Breda just called my car will arrive 27th of october. They will then fit the towing hook and the delivery is scheduled for 12th of november. How fast can things change in life!

Just received a video file and message from Himat, our sales rep at Richmond Southampton, showing our new white LR Excite in their compound.
The law of Sod has been invoked as we are currently in Australia visiting family. But we are so happy we can pick it up on our return.
Ordered late Feb 22.
What can we expect to be upsold when we collect? Many of you will have been here before and it would be good to know what is worth accepting and what is not.

My negative experience of dealers in the past is that these extras are just more profit for them and everything offered you can source cheaper elsewhere. I was offered very little. Mats, if they fit correctly but you can buy these elsewhere as the carpets are not very durable. Boot liner but it’s not cheap. Paint protection but again cheaper outwith dealer network but I didn’t bother. Tinted rear glass, my dealer organised this and it took a few days, well worthwhile.
 
I'm told my company car is with the dealer and delivery to our office expected next week. There might be as many as 4 in the delivery. February order I assume (that's when they gave us the deadline to decide).

Mine was ordered on the 20th of June , pcame in on Tuesday , pick up 4pm this afternoon ???
 
Regarding upsell, my dealer didn't try anything. They had no stock of some of the items, or they'd been discontinued or something. no GAP Insurance, paint specials, nothing.
 
Mine tried it on massively as usual. For rear tints they wanted £470. I paid around £200 for a great job locally. I didn't even ask how much paint protection was going to be as I could see they were just trying to have my eyes out.

Am glad to say i have a delivery date too - a week on tuesday my black excite lr is at least in the country and has a registration number unfortunately they couldnt deliver it sooner but it feels good to at least have a car in the country if not the driveway now.
I ordered it on a lease from Electric Auto (zen auto’s electric division) looking forward to finally getting it. Now need to find a boot liner to protect it from the dog hairs it was amazing the difference it made on protecting my skoda octavia estate from 2 German shepherds worth of hair- i assume we have a thread for that going to check if not can anyone recommend one. ?

There is thread for the Hatchbag liner. I fitted one to mine and it's great.
 
We had a transporter with 6no. MG 5 LR (Exclusive? the higher spec one) arrive yesterday all our company cars, in traditional company car silver. Varying levels of charge, mine had 96% and I live 8 miles from the office the people living 40 miles + had around 30-40% charge and the dealer had forgotten to include the type 2 charging cables. Granny chargers were in the boot.

Mine arrived today with a full charge and, confusingly, a granny cable but no Type 2. Quality seems pretty good so far, and I’m really impressed.
