Does anybody know if I can winterise my Cyberster. Ideally It won’t be in use from October to end of March.
Not sure if that's a good idea on a BEV..Trickle charger?
12V should charge okay, but only if NOT plugged in. Manual states:As long as you keep it plugged in, I see no problem.. Not sure if the 12V will be charged when power is off, but in my opinion it should.
I turned on the car yesterday for the first time in 2 months. The drive battery had dropped from 80% to 77% which I assume was the drive battery being used to top up the 12v when not in use. I had no problem opening the car and I put it back on charge to get back to 80%.I thought I would reply to this as it could be relevant - I came to use my Cyberster on the 15th Feb and couldn't get access to the car, neither fob worked so I tried the app and that couldn't connect either.
I managed to get a charger on the 12vVbattery and this would not exceed 4.0V charging (starting at 1.8V). I then disconnected the battery and tried to charge it, after about 20 charger restarts it finally started to charge and 24hrs later it indicated full.
The last use of the car was 25th January with 89% state of charge and the car defiantly locked.
Its now waiting to go to MG - No holding out much hope!
Has anyone else experienced anything similar ?
I left my Cyberster for just over a month (15th Jan to 17Th Feb). Could not contact it via the app but opened normally when pressing the button on the door. The state of charge of the HV battery was left at around 80% before lay-up. This seemed to keep the 12v battery topped up during the lay-up.
