Wiper blades hitting each other

It was freezing one day and one of the wipers got stuck while the other moved a little, so now they are misaligned. Is this something that's easily fixable by yourself? I already made a service request in case it is not.

Drivers side arm is possibly bent?

Just bend it back. (Gently)

Alternatively, take the wiper arm off the spindle and reposition it.
Simples.

The wipers should look like this in the park position. Obviously this is for a right-hand drive car and yours is left-hand drive but it will give you an idea.

And no it's not a crack in the bottom right corner, its the reflection of the telephone line.

Did you find out? I have the exact same issue. It appears the drivers side blade sits below the passengers side one when off, which is why it's catching as it comes off.

This must have happened when I was clearing ice off of it.

Took it to the service the next day and they fixed it under warranty, and also updated LKA software (though I think it's exactly the same as I'm not experiencing any difference...)

Good news on the wiper, you'll only know on the LKA after many miles of driving.

Your two brackets may be misaligned, reinstalling them can solve the problem

The wipers need to be realigned on the splines. If you don't think you can do it yourself have a word with your local garage. It should only be a 10 minute job.

Thanks all! I’ve done wiper arm swaps on other cars so wasn’t overly concerned but was keen to see if there was any advice for parked / non-parked etc.

I sorted it today. Have popped a few pics up in case it helps anyone in the future. Tools needed were small flat head screwdriver, 15mm socket and a wiper arm puller.

I started the job with the wiper arms in the standard position and bonnet open. The protective caps came off easily with the small screwdriver. 15mm nut also came off easily with a standard socket. As the wiper arm did not seem like it was going to play nicely, I found it easier to physically position the arm puller with the wipers in service mode position.

Once removed from the splines, I returned the wipers to the standard position and nipped up the wiper arm nut while holding the arm in the correctly aligned position.

Then replaced the protective cap.

Great job @avc21, usually to remove the wiper arm from the splines, it's best to have it lifted up off the windscreen to relieve the pressure between the arm and the splines, but with a puller this probably isn't necessary.
