How is everyone getting on with the wireless charging pad. Unsure if it's my phone oneplus12, or it's just not good or working properly.
The issue is the phone keeps switching on and off to say its charging, but actually just overheats and actually runs down the battery level.
I never used it much in my Mg4, as the phone could slide off. The charger seemed to work OK though.
Have tried with and without the phone case to make little difference?

I don't mind using a cable, but the tray seems very convenient position.

I put the phone on the conveniently positioned tray and plug it in!

My main problem with the inductive charging was that my iPhone 12 had to be in precisely the right place and if it moved a millimetre charging was lost.

Great idea, but sadly doesn't deliver.

It does not charge through the third party cover for my S23 but once removed it seems to work just fine.

Might be down to the placing of the charge coil in the phone versus the one in the console?

In my experience, it depends on the phone. My work Samsung . . I had to take the cover off to get it to charge, but had the same experience as you describe. Charging, then not charging. Whereas my wife's Google Pixel . . . charges perfectly.

The new Qi2 standard has magnets like newer iPhones to align everything and keep it in position. Even then though I find my phone heats up quite a bit.

I ended up getting a combined charger and cooler. It's got a little fan on the back and a peltier element so that the surface gets fairly cool. I wish they made a mat version but it does the job of keeping the phone charged and cool on long journeys.
