Would you have chosen bright yellow?

Not for me, although my father had a Ford Escort in the 1970’s, that was bright yellow. I used to borrow it from time to time, before I got my own car.

Yep. We had a hire car in Kefalonia many years ago that was an old bright yellow Suzuki. Even the locals in the village called it the ‘Yellow Peril’ ?

The whole point about yellow cars is that they have to be driven by other people. This enables you to play the game invented by the sketch show Cabin Pressure, called - you guessed it - Yellow Car.

If you own a yellow car yourself, it makes playing the game harder. .

One of the things you discover when you play the game is how few yellow cars there are. Maybe that's a good reason for buying the yellow MG.

I had the 1850 Dolomite in Mamosa and my mate had the Sprint in green. Lovely cars but the problem was they were built by BL.

My Peugeot was nominally "Blaze Yellow" but it was actually a rather nice metallic gold shade, so it probably doesn't count.
