Says its cable connected when it isn’t (not recognised) + shows a low-voltage battery charging system malfunction warning.
Just happened randomly last night: The car turns on, everything seems fine but it won’t drive and prompts a message that it is plugged in but the connection isn’t recognised (it’s not and wasn’t plugged in) as well as showing an indicator of low-voltage battery charging system malfunction warning (not flashing) and a Power System Malfunction Warning. Any clue as to what might be at fault here?

Possible 12v battery problem, might need replaced. Try disconnecting the negative battery connection for 10 mins then re-connect (re-sets car). If still a problem then suspect your 12v battery needs replaced.

Checking the battery voltage would be a good first move if you can.
One thing common between EV and ICE cars is that a low 12V system causes all sorts of spurious errors and warnings.

Disconnecting the negative for 10 minutes did not work. Neither did giving the battery a boost. I also notice that when turned on there’s a rapid clicking sound coming from somewhere well behind the steering wheel.

The clicking noise is probably a relay chattering and trying to fully engage.
This type of symptom can suggest a weak / failed 12 volt battery.
Can you get the 12 volt battery drop checked by a local garage.
Or the AA can do this for you !.
They can install a new battery if this is the problem and clear any codes at the same time.

Agree with previous comments; clicking noise is a solenoid which hasn't got enough current to engage. Sounds like the 12 volt is knackered, and even a charge won't help if it's damaged.
