MG ZS EV Shipping Updates

This chat was started by Ricardoellis who enquired about when chassis number is issued. A few weeks ago on the chat a number of people were advising that they were being issued with chassis numbers - one member actually got registration document before the car arrived at the dealer.
Search for chassis on this forum and you should be able to see some of the posts.

Definitely weird but nothing about the mg process has been normal. I do possess a chassis number now for a car allegedly in China which is not on a boat. Dealer is saying sept

I've had my LR Trophy Connect order from Tusker approved by my Company, Early Jan delivery advised by Luscombes Leeds - They have some Red TCLR on order, so i "should" be getting a sunroof model.

I'm not holding my breath.

Auto trader is wrong about most I’m sure it’s fishing for leads.

It wouldn't make sense to have separate threads for different cars because the delivery issue is exactly the same. Although this thread sits in the ZSEV area, it's open to shipping update comment for all models

I wasn’t aware of that, but in any case, the comment was about the NCAP rating for the new MG ZS EV, and it was stated that the SR variant didn’t have MG Pilot. It actually wasn’t relevant to the ‘shipping update’ thread anyway, but thanks for the heads up!

I called in at my dealers and he brought my order up and turned the screen so I could see the whole thing. "TBA"

@willytee Your order number will be 30000?????. Not a betting person but the response from MG will take a few days and will be delivery is 9 months and your vehicle is waiting parts to commence manufacture. If you ordered the car in 2021 then there is a good chance you may receive soon.

That means it could be on its way to your dealer on a transporter or still not started the production line. Just sit back and wait for the phone to ring to give you some news.

Go to search and look up the history of the posts from “grumpy” - he had a very strange delivery process via Holland and had log book before it arrived at dealer. He even got his car and it was set up in Dutch language.

I remember seeing that. I was just stating my own personal experiences with buy brand new cars from Renault, Nissan, Honda and Seat over the last 15 years.

at long last dealer JCT 600 Bradford been in contact order accepted by MG been told possible red car available October as a cancelled order could become mine if not then November or December

Yes, agree. I have bought 7 brand new cars and leased via Motability 3 cars and never seen anything like this. Asked previously if this is normal that MG demand you pay for the car in full before you collect it?

I vaguely remember seeing your post. I just can't how they can demand full payment before delivery, surely the perfect way to loose customers?

Funny how this seems possible at some dealers where others cry about £1500 penalties from MG for doing this, and then stick the car up for sale later.
