Are MG4s going to be driven by Old Farts!

Experience tells me that you have to let children and pets experience a car before knowing whether it suits them. They tend to pick up on noises and smells that are rarely generally reported on.

I am a founder member of the old farts club and proud to be.
I will be 67 years young on Friday but some days feel much older.
I went for the electric because I want to save the planet for my great grandkids and thought it would save me money....
Originally I opted for the ZS but the way it is going it could arrive after I've departed so opted for the MG4 as I was in the right place at the right time to reserve one.
I'm colour blind so the Orange doesn't look too bright to me, when I've got my sunglasses on ........

In general, most new car buyers, because of cost, seem to be from my experience.

I'm 37, my two Kids barely need their booster seats (7 & 9) and perhaps I'm more flexible when it comes to 'fitting their kids in the car'.

This Summer, we managed to fit everything we needed to go on vacation as a family of four in my Ioniq 28, previously we traveled in an Infiniti Q50 Sedan, so I am optimistic the MG would work as well.

Switching from hard sided suitcases to travel bags helped in order to maximize the boot space.

I'm 39 and have one child and another on the way. We have an MG5 and getting the MG4 in September. So the MG5 will be the going on holiday car, the MG4 will be the runaround nursery run car.

I buy mine through my own business so I avoid the tax :)

Is that the Mature Gastro Aromatic society??

Ooh can't wait to see your new MG4 hooning round the streets round me! Where did you order it from?

Yep, retired old fart (70) looking to replace the Prius Plug in I have driven from new for 10 years. MG4 is perfect size to run around the local one track Devon lanes where I live and be my shopping trolley, hopefully with a bit of rear wheel drive action when my tablets are working :)
More interestingly, what is the gender split in MG4 interest/ordering?

I've had my preorder in for the MG4 since the start of August. I've just turned 30. And have two children both 2 so will have to make sure the baby seats fit on the back bench comfortably as well as make sure that the double pram fits in the boot! Otherwise the missus won't be best pleased 😂

Order the ZS instead - by the time it arrives, you'll be more concerned with ferrying their stuff to uni 😁

I'm 41, if the kid doesn't like my choice of car he can walk and come when he's old enough to choose his own car.
I will also be modifying my 4 where I can
Glad to hear. I think first upgrade has got to be the wheels. Would happily have paid extra for ones shown on the green Mulan render! The arches need to be filled better and some spacers to get a more flush look.

Post pics when you do!

We ordered one today luckily got a September one from our local dealer ime 62 I've got to get my head around the infertainment screen but looking forward to it I think it looked good as is but maybe that's my age lol

The MG Mulan (MG4) was most likely designed to appeal to female drivers - at least in China.
This was mentioned by Chinese reviewers.
There are some clues - the name (Mulan), the linear acceleration with low torque, the soft seats, the colours (rose pink) and marketing.
Have a look at the show car in the Chengdu Motor Show.

That's not a car that will appeal to "old farts" is it?

The car that is really made for us old farts is the dual motor Triumph version coming next year. That car will be fun!

I'm considering getting an MG4. (Will probably need to order it soon to have a chance of a January delivery). I'll be 58 when the car arrives.

Does that make me an Old Fart? 😈

At about 2 mins 15 seconds you get to see through the inside of the back window as seen from the front seats. Visibility does not look great and would much worse if there was a middle headrest.
