MG4 wipers

I have absolutely no idea why, but I've just ordered these from Amazon along with a windscreen frost protection cover, and I got the wiper blades for free as a promotional offer!!!

I..just..don't..know.. but I'm a happy bunny

Bought these today at Halfords £20. What a difference!! This set fits perfectly. 600mm & 400mm (24" & 16" in old money LoL.)

Just what I need the original are ok but not very good can’t beat these Bosch wipers I will go to Halfords tommorow for these and change the factory ones

No need to put in service position. Just press in the top Tab and push out in situ. Then just push new ones in. Simples!!

Well Hallix73 you have done a good job finding these wiper blades and I and others thank you for the information you have provided here. Well done.

But sorry I cant, and don’t agree, that you don’t need to use the service position to change the blades over, that’s why it’s there on many modern cars today to make things easier and avoid damage, you Hallix73 maybe tall enough and have managed to been able to reach with ease, someone else with not so much height or reach, might try and do what you suggest and with lower height or reach and in doing so damage their paint work.
So I suggest, to anyone changing wiper blades on any car if there is a service position prescribed by the manufacturer as MG does it is best practice to use it. IMHO.

I think I'm going to wait until I get my car and see how bad they are before replacing the wiper blades. Also using wipers on ice can damage the wiping edge.

I am 5' 8" so not that tall and in my late 60's. But yes to eliminate any risk of damage do as the manual.

Hmmm. I bought the A712s Bosch blades from HERE but they don’t fit. The fixings are very similar to mine but they definitely do not fit.

The originals are on the right and the A712s on the left. What is going on here, I’m confused

Edit - I purchased A721s not 712 as above

I’m wondering if there is a mix up and wrong blades in the box. Interesting to hear from @amdmad if his fit, go on lad, get out there in the cold with a torch and find out would you

Where’s your sense of adventure? Anyway, I’ve ordered another set of the A721s from Euro Car Parts which I’ll collect tomorrow with some other bits. I’ll compare the ones Amazon sent me. Knowing my luck though my car is fitted with different wiper arms to every other Trophy cos they didn’t have the right parts when they were cobbling it together.
