    The other option is to have an un-tethered charger and a separate charging cable. EV Cables do them from 2m to 50m. I keep mine hung up on a coat hook just inside the front door so its easy just to grab and nip out to connect to the charge and car.

    The MGS5 only has rear wheel drive. Snow mode reduces the power to the back wheels so it's less easy to spin them and removes the regen so when you take your foot off the accelerator the car doesn't lock the back wheels. Beware OPD is not available in Snow mode.

    We've had a smattering of snow here covering the roads with a hard crunchy icey surface so I thought I'd try snow mode. It works OK and makes it harder to spin the back wheels when accelerating. The ABS also works and sounds like you are crushing a plastic bottle under the wheel.
