Needed to top up on our way home from a weekend trip at a 175kW Charge point/EV Point charger.
As you can see I'm pulling an amazing, 35kW on CCS.
The Audi ETron next to me pulling a full 4 x the amount I was!
One of the small handful of issues I've got with this car that means I'll...
"Doesn't seem to have any negative consequences" This phrase has been the bane of my life!
Every time I've done something that doesn't 'seem' to have any negative consequences I've quickly found them! ?
Morning, yeah I've been struggling for the last 4 days with the app being a bastard.
Normally, it was as easy as unlock then re-lock the car to get it work again but even that hasn't been working properly.
No idea what's going on but considering it's now winter and we're all going to want to...
I'm talking more about public chargers, specifically rapid chargers
If I need to use one, I treat it like a really slow petrol pump and say add £10 worth of 'fuel' but I can't do that easily when I have to work out how much charge has been added so far and what that equates to cost per kWh wise!
I'd like to see the amount of charge added to the vehicle when plugged in.
I hate that I either have to get out of the car to see how many kWh's I've put in the car or else do arithmetic using the cars starting charge percentage and what that means vs the new percentage!
Best advice I can give you is to run the 'Vehicle Status' checker thing and then once that's run and only when that's run try anything else but as others have said the app can be very buggy at times! It also sometimes depends on what your mobile signal is around your area.
I'm not sure what...
See my partner bought a second rate knock off 'smart' lock from Amazon, (Btw avoid the brand Simpled) it died on us and literally wouldn't work so we were using the spare 'emergency' key they give you.
Morning everyone,
Just wanted to share my experience of how the MG iSmart app saved me from a cold night stuck outside my own house!
For context we recently moved into a new house and my partner wanted to install a 'smart lock' on our front door because for some reason using house keys is now...
This is my biggest gripe with the air conditioning system. It's happened to me before where I've started a journey by manually changing the vent mode to 'external' and about 30 minutes later it's defaulted back to 'Recirculation' for no reason, it's frustrating as all hell!
We've moved our dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer into the 4 hour mark. It works surprisingly well. I've also experimented with an electric heater in my office for WFH.
Our house is pretty well insulated so I set the (oil filled heater) to come on for 4 hours at max temperature and...
Ooo you jammy bugger! I only recent jumped on the Octopus band wagon so I'm on the £0.40/0.075 tariff, still works out cheaper than public charging though :ROFLMAO:
Ah okay that makes more sense then! A slight shame then as my previous car allowed for 28.8 KWh in that four hour period compared to the MG's 26.4 but oh well!
