MG4 X Power Vibe/Hum 65to75mph

Thanks for the quick update, sorry it hasn’t fixed it. Next options could be a Hunter Force wheel balance of all 4 wheels then failing that fitting a different tyre brand perhaps and full rebalance again.
If we don't get any meaningful fix anytime soon, I'm going to pop out my front driveshafts and take them to get balanced.
Then pop them back in and see what happens.👍

Dealer rebalanced the wheels today. Again, no difference.

I'm lucky to have the support of the dealership. Apart from their demonstrator, they have one other customer who has reported the issue. They agree, its definitely a problem so they've gone back to MG to ask for next steps.

The Service Advisor personally suspects it's either an imbalance between the 2 motors, or an airflow issue where air gets trapped underneath at certain speed but is then released.

Hoping MG roll out a fix ASAP.

A rolling road would eliminate the potential airflow issue. Any dyno shop will have one of those and within a few mins it could be eliminated or identified as the fault.

I also have the issue and my car was supplied by luscombe Leeds to the leasing company . My Local MG dealer has done nothing . Lets hope they find a fix

I've been in some other EV with terrible vibrations from the front driveshafts, multiple times on that car with different shafts. I would like to hear more about yours if you balance them, as I think that could be a good culprit.

Mmm pick mine up next week, I do have some 18" MG4 wheels and tyres with 3000 km on them, picked them up dirt cheap as the owner put new 19s on for looks. I just wanted to chuck a spare in the back for long trips. But could be a good test with the non Xpower wheels, probably have to remove the brake calliper covers. Got the aero covers too, so hoping range gets a little boost. Will report back. That is if mine has a vibration when I get it.

I cleaned all four alloys off the car, over the weekend. Attached is an example of how far out all four were incorrectly balanced. This is front right showing position of new weight in relation to the old position. In case anyone was wondering the face of the alloy is not in contact with the gravel.

Any XPower drivers here with left-hand-drive models experiencing this vibration? Seems common in UK and Oz (both RHD) - I get my new XPower in Germany at the end of the month, so am curious if it's common to both both variants.
Being from Austria I drive a LHD xPower since a couple of weeks and couldn't notice the described vibration or noise at specific speeds at least until now. Lucky me 🤞
But I also have to mention that I never used it with the delivered summer tires as I changed to winter tires at the workshop before pickup.

Right … so I got the recall dampers fitted today.
Got some pics of the part as requested.
Looked like a simple bit of plastic with a metal clamp type spring ? Im assuming it went onto the steering column ?
So maybe more trying to fix the symptom rather than the cause of the vibration ?
Haven't driven it enough yet to say if it is making a difference or not

Thanks for that. I pick south of Munich at the end of February. The car will be supplied with winter tyres, but I won't have them fitted for collection and hope the weather stays good in March :)

Can I ask which winter tyres you have?

There were just two kinds of winter tires for the xpower available at that time, Michelin Alpin 5 or Pirelli Sottocento 3 - nearly at the same price-range ~€ 250,-/each . I took the Michelin tires.
They are fine so far, but had no change to get experience on snowy or icy roads until now.

In March it should be warm enough, I had -14°C and a good change for snow or ice at pickup date - to cold for summer tires.
