No, I haven't tried to remove it, just noticed the crack. It's in for a software update today so I pointed out the cracked dial and the person said it wasn't covered by any guarantee -- I disagreed and someone will examine it today. I expect they will come back with a (large) cost to replace!

Just a word of advice for MG4 owners, you will need a T20 21W LED Bulb (usually says 7443 and 7440 as well), rather than the T15 size mentioned in this thread. The latter is a smaller socket and the bulb falls out the MG4 with the T20 socket!

Options are screen or face or feet only, face + feet, screen + feet. But no screen + face. Where's the logic there? Yes, you can use 'Auto' to get all 3 but the fan runs too high and also tends to blast out cold air and switches on AC (which may start the cooler unit and hence use battery)...

Have just plotted my daily battery consumption (miles/kWh) against the daily average temperature* (since early January) and there does seem to be trend with higher temperatures giving better consumption. However, how much of this is due less energy being used by the heater is unknown! Anyway...

To check the battery voltage, press the middle button on the steering wheel (right hand side) and then the left/right arrows until you see the 'shield' (looks like one anyway!). You'll see the tyre pressures and the battery voltage.

Annoying that one cannot select the screen as well as the cabin heat vents - so need to keep switching on the screen for a short time to clear it and the passenger window gets misted up too which blocks the view of the wing mirror. Every other car I've had you can select what vents you wish...
