Disappointed after first test drive - please help

Yeah, I think the high center console made me feel a bit claustrophobic. The seats are also very close to it, and in some positions actually touching it. Seemed very awkward.

Here's an interesting one re Updates and VIN numbers

Well there go my assumptions about build date for the MG  But thanks for the info!

    Creaking noise from Steering Column

I hope MG won't adopt Tesla's "build fast, fix later" approach, and they will get this issue sorted in the production line.

Disappointed after first test drive - please help

I test drove the higher Exclusive trim (its called differently here, but the spec is exactly the same). I tried to adjust the electric seat, but it seems that the center console protrudes into the foot area of the driver. Also the seat tends to rub against it in certain placements of the seat...

Disappointed after first test drive - please help

After checking my seating in my Peugeot 208, I noticed that the cushion in the seat also pressed against my thigh, but I never noticed it, because its softer than the MG's. I bought the 208 second hand with 14000 km on it, so maybe when it was new it was harder. The ZS Ev I drove had around 9500...

Disappointed after first test drive - please help

We don't have the MG5 here, and after talking to MG Israel's manager, they aren't going to bring it either. Estate cars aren't very popular here. SUVs are the ones most want.

Disappointed after first test drive - please help

I am puzzled. Many reviews the I have seen and read all talk about comfortable seats, thats why I was really surprised to find them not comfortable enough for me. Both in the showroom car and the test car I found them to be narrow and not supporting of the thighs. The bottom part of the seat...

Disappointed after first test drive - please help

Just one more thing I wanted to note: I was totally thrilled when I opened the boot of the ZS EV, and found a spare tyre kit under the floor. That when the sales rep. told me its included in the price! Well, EVs here in Israel are very expensive anyways, but just for comparison, the Corsa-e...

Disappointed after first test drive - please help

Hi, I just had my first test drive in the MG ZS EV. One of the things I noticed immediately is that the front seats are pretty narrow, and also a bit short (not much support for my lower thighs). After sitting in the driver's seat, it felt pretty cramped. I felt as if I'm sitting "on" the seat...

MG ZS EV front parking sensors

Nope, and AFAIK there isn't an option from MG either. I guess you could get some of those cheap aftermarket (reversing sensors) installed, but they would beep all the time... On my Citroën C4 Spacetourer, the front parking sensors (origin equipment) they beep only when the car is under 10...

MG ZS Door sill kick plate stickers for sale.

@Stuart Wright maybe we should have a buy/sell forum? I've seen this on other forums (like speakev.com), it keeps the other specific forums clean. @CogZog I hope you don't mind me stealing your post to bring this up... No offense to you :) Anyways, I think it would be possible to remove them...

MGEVs live stream on YouTube - invitation to participate/contribute

Sounds great! I'd be happy to participate (giving it will occur on hours that I'm free).

    SCRUNCH at low speeds?

There is actually one with only one gear ratio (as in most EVs, except the Porsche Taycan which actually has 2 ratios). Interesting to see if the gearbox is the culprit.

Dealer unaware of MG ZS EV updates

Well then, maybe MG didn't code the date into the VIN, it seems like they encrypted it o_O If you guys don't mind posting you full VINs here, maybe I could find a pattern and decode (decrypt) them. All we need to find is which character represents the month. One interesting thing I noticed, is...

Dealer unaware of MG ZS EV updates

Well, the VIN format doesn't match / make sense for any of the other formats mentioned on that site. Most of the formats state that the 10th character is the year, so I'm pretty sure that yours is a 2019 manufacturer year. About the month I'm not so sure...

Dealer unaware of MG ZS EV updates

Just to make sure: can others with different VIN numbers approve that this makes sense to them? After all we don't know how MG UK actually code the production date into the VIN, but to me the date coding looked similar to the Chevrolet coding as above. I don't have a ZS yet to confirm.

Dealer unaware of MG ZS EV updates

No, Its 2019. For some reason the link I attached doesn't bring you to the specific page, so here is a screenshot. I remind you that some letters are not in use in the VIN year coding. as to not confuse with certain numbers.

Dealer unaware of MG ZS EV updates

I'm not sure about MG UK's VIN number format, but by comparing it to other manufacturers, the 9th character could be the month, and the 10th sates the year of production (some letters like I are skipped to avoid confusion with digits). It seems that your MG's VIN is similar format to Chevrolet...

    A new one from Luxembourg

Looking good  Too bad they didn't do the updates though... Do you know when your car was actually manufactured? Other than the comfort updates, the car has some BMS updates too (like being able to charge when unlocked). I wonder if they did that at the factory or not. This is the reason...

Is a ZS EV facelift imminent?

Well, in general I'm not in a hurry (I want a 2021 model at least anyways). I accept what you guys are saying, that it doesn't seem like the ZS EV facelift is that close... Because I'm planning to keep the car for at least 3-4 years, I didn't want to be disappointed that I made a wrong decision...
