Just an observation - wouldn't the brake regeneration (default is max) just slow the car to a crawling pace if the accelerator isn't pressed.
Or had this function also gone faulty?
Yep, similar to what we had - lasted a couple of years - thankfully we had moved.
Our old neighbours sent a recent picture and it looks like a bird sanctuary.
Once pigeons decide this is home they are very persistent.
All gone tits up as the solar company turned up with a 'on roof' rather than 'in roof' fixing system which we paid for.
We had a 'on roof' system in a pervious house and were plagued by pigeons so it's back to the drawing board. Netting worked for a while but the scallywags broke back in and...
I've had this happen a couple of times.
Apart from making me curse it scares following drivers when doing an unnecessary emergency break.
All designed to make us leave greater distances between cars I suppose and it only needs to be right once to make it worthwhile.
Are there insurance...
Thanks for link tsedge, so it appears it can be done. The set up I'm having installed includes a backup battery so I wonder if the car battery can be used to top up the back up battery. Must admit I am in no way qualified to do this and am waiting for a response from the installation company as...
ZS long range so a 77kw battery.
Electric costs are about 75% and gas over 400% dearer than my current deal which runs out end August.
It means heat pumps may become a viable alternative as a damage limitation exercise.
Apologies if this has been discussed already I'm unable to find anything on a quick search.
I soiled my pants when I realised how much my heat and power cost are going up in August when my current deal ends (circa 400%). I'm now getting solar panels fitted and looking at heat pump installation...

Yet my previous MG5 did suffer badly.
Sounds ( 😀) like a quality control issue at build stage.
Very annoying if affected with it.
Rain is of biblical proportions down south these last few days and it's like fording a small river on some roads.
Am I right in thinking electric cars have no problem with flooded roads unlike ICE which stall when the water is too deep?
Does the long range have led's?
If so you may be able to change the entire unit?- it's replacing halogen with led bulbs that's illegal not upgrading the whole unit.
Not a cheap option though.
I also found the headlights mediocre compared to other vehicles (non led) I have owned - good for the...
I've seen the same people sitting eating lunch and reading while charging at tesco.
Each to their own.
3hrs to save a fiver seems a tad sad to me and against the spirit of offering a quick top up while you shop.
Apologies for going off piste. This bought back memories from 50 years ago.
My version is a tad different but always caused a smile stuck to the wall of a cigarette fogged site office
I'm lucky enough to be exchanging my MG5 tomorrow.
Usual sweaty moment when changing over insurance - I'm with LV
Actual figures are irrelevant as it's dependant on individual circumstances.
But I am delighted to find the annual insurance is around 25% cheaper with the ZS.
Everything stays the...
