    Poor cross wind performance

No issues with my Trophy with wind or HGV's at any speed and any normal road surface. Are you sure it's not LKA causing the issue?

    MG4 Undertray Poll

Last evening the whole tray detached, leaving a dangling piece and bits of the sound insulation strip. I did not drive over anything!

    Loss of Control

A not uncommon issue with EV's with a bit of power, like the MG4. High torque is available throughout the speed range, a characteristic of electric motors, so hitting the acceleration can unstick the wheels at almost any speed. Therefore, a lighter approach to acceleration is needed. In this...

    Accumulated total zeroed itself.

It's easy to inadvertently reset it, particularly if you have left it set to that view.

MG4 wheel covers and car wash

I have no idea what a IMO ceramic wash is, but I use the latest local car wash for my Trophy every time and there are no issues with either quick wash or full gold service; just ensure the mirrors are folded.

    Cruise control

Sadly, you can't. Most settings are temporary to comply with the cars NCAP rating, so everything starts at maximum. You can hold the left lever up or down until the desired speed is reached, but tou h it again sets speed to the nearest 5mph, as you've experienced. Reducing the regeneration...

    Dropping like a stone

Where does your £12000 a year come from? Oh, 12x1000, so I can expect that when I change my car every year, that is what I'll lose. Wow. So buying secondhand, with a history that is relatively unknown, won't incur a loss when I come to change it next year? I'll rush out now and get rid of my...

    Spare wheel size

Does the MG5 "get-you-home" spare wheel fit the MG4, because I'll keep my MG5 spare to carry in my MG4 when it arrives?

    Both, sadly.

    Tow bar

My use is a small trailer that, with its max load, should not exceed that limit. Normally used for garden refuse runs and possible star-party trips with telescopes and camping gear . . . scratch the latter, I'll stick to bed and breakfast here in the UK! 🤣

    Tow bar

Thanks. By the time my car gets here the parts might have appeared too.

    Windscreen camera power

Thanks. That’s a pain; it seems that a 5p connector and wire from Schengen, just down the road from the factory, was an essential cost cutting move, or was it the 15p, 12v to 5v buck converter that tipped the balance?!

    Tow bar

I note that MG says that the MG4 can tow up to 500kg, so I assume that there is a connector to the wiring loom for the trailer electrics. Does anyone know what towbars are available?

    Windscreen camera power

Does the MG4 Trophy have a USB power outlet on or near the mirror for a camera, or will I need to thread the cable to the lower sockets?

    MG5 or MG4?

Same for me! My theory is that the optics of the door mirrors distort the view. The camera is only useful for missing the rubbish bin as the steering guides are too coarse for parallel alignment.

    Demisting

Use the windscreen/feet mode button on the control panel, bottom righthand, then adjust your temperature and fan speed to suit. Look under "Air conditioning" in the manual.

    Anyone installed a large 12VDC to 220V AC Inverter in a MG5?

Yes, that image confirms that it has a cold starting current of over 500A, not that the MG EV needs that cirrent, so it will be of the right construction for heavy current applications, but only short duration.

    Anyone installed a large 12VDC to 220V AC Inverter in a MG5?

Hmm, you seem to have answered all your questions yourself but you need to consider the cell plate construction if you are taking 125A continuous from the battery. Leisure batteries have a very different construction from ICE car batteries, and I think the MG battery fits under the leisure...
