Assuming that’s with the boot floor on the higher setting? I tend to have mine on the low setting as the dog crate fits better! Also, is the cable in a bag or just loosely coiled? I could have a look myself but it’s tipping down! 😂 On top of the cover? Doesn’t the cable slide about?

I can’t see how I can plug a timer into my wall charger. It’s easier just to start the charge at around 40% and charge over 4 hours at my Octopus Go rate overnight. Re the bulbs, not sure it’s so bad that it’s worth spending £50 on!

As far as I can see this is it possible on a pre-facelift MG5 which, although I am happy with it, is about as basic as they come; poor headlights, rubbish satnav et al…

MG5 Exclusive: I thought the battery heater function was for speeding up a charge particularly in cold weather or when the motor is cold but I would be interested to know if anyone uses it when driving, particularly now the weather has turned colder? If so, what affect does it have on range?

I have a March 22 Exclusive and find the auto lights pretty useless and I was going to ask if there was a setting anywhere that could be altered. The only time the lights automatically operate is when it’s pitch black. Sometimes they don’t even operate in a tunnel.

I find the acceleration and road holding from a standing start even in Eco phenomenal..!

Indra have an addition to their charger which they call Pause. It ensures that charging stops at the end of the charge period. Doesn’t resolve the 80% issue though which remains guesswork…

I had exactly the same issue and spoke to my home charger company Indra about it. The only way to do it, and it might not be exactly 80% as it depends where you start from, is to reduce the hours of your Octopus Go overnight rate. So instead of charging for 4 hours, charge for 2 or 3. Otherwise...

Only way I can get it to show on my MG5 Exclusive (Westminster Silver) is to press the Ready button. The charge might stop when you open the door but it will reconnect after a few seconds. For me, the unlock/lock and foot brake suggestions don’t work.

Drivers side was ok on mine.

Just cleaning my MG5 Exclusive. Tried to lift the passenger side wiper arm but found it scrapes by the edge of the bonnet. Is this normal or does it need re-seating or is it not intended to be lifted?

Currently at McDonalds, Arundel. Tried one machine 4 times and 4 times it started a charge but then cut out. Now on the other machine and it’s working - so far! Should it really be this difficult??
