I was a very happy, early adopter, of an ZS EV Exclusive which I sold at near purchase price after 3 years. Range anxiety led me to try a MG4 Long Range as dealers weren't taking oderes for the ZS EV and I was impressed with the handling and styling and took delivery of one last November. I soon...
After 33 months the bodywork on my ZS EV is still like new despite bird poops, pollen and of late battling narrow country lanes with overgrown hedges and oncoming cars. Why? A professional Diamondbrite body protection job. It cost +/-£250, less than ½ of the offer from the MG dealer. I will...
My initial range anxiety has abated and driving the ZS EV Exclusive has been a great experience. The residual value from the likes of webuyanycar and others is astonishing. As the months tick by the value of my car gets closer to what I paid. I'm being seduced by the reviews of the new MG4 EV...
I need to park up my 2019 ZS EV for 2 months. Is there a recommended battery level or recommendation to leave it on a trickle charge?
Appreciate your advice.
I need to leave my car parked up for two months and seek advice on what battery level it's best left on and if perhaps on a low amp granny charge. Appreciate guidance.
Interesting to note that a number of members have already placed orders for the MK2 EV. I called on the MG dealer in Southampton yesterday and got a look at the facelift ZS EV and liked what I saw. However, not only would it have been illegal to test drive that car but the guy I spoke to...
I had the same problem at a motorway services +200 miles. Richmond, Southampton could give me no support or advice😫! AA came out after two hours and although clueless about MG ZS EV's got me going after connecting his laptop and resetting 'things'👍🙏. Other semi technical issues which my MG...
This Forum rocks💯%. I couldn't see anything about in the handbook and the MG Service Dept knew nothing about this either. You guys did!
Quite a useful feature as I do all the shopping so many thanks.
Initially I thought the warning light on the dashboard meant that the boot lid wasn't closed properly. On investigation I found the lock was failing to engage. At the time, just before this lockdown, we had luggage on board and we're concerned having to leave the car unattended during stops on...
I hasten to add that it is well worthwhile getting an account and an RFID for the Scottish government's scheme which includes many fast chargers. The RFID card cost £20 per annum and I believe you can then get charging for free. Sadly for visitors these chargers cannot be used via an app.

Having just completed a 1500 mile road trip around England and Scotland I felt other ZS EV owners may find these observations.
Wherever possible I used ZapMap to find CCS Chargers, an essential aid if motorway service chargers don't work on MGs. I had several close calls where ECOTRICITY...
I'll be visiting Portishead for a few days early next week in my white Exclusive which is now 9 months old. Still a joy to drive but the inability to recharge during off-peak 5p/Kw is a nuisance.
Having now had my ZS EV for 9 months the thing I really think is essential is for vehicle timed charging. It's an absolute pain to lock the car and start the charging immediately, before retiring for the night. My 5p/Kwh tariff with Octopus doesn't start until 00.30.
I believe EVs which have had...
To maximise the benefit of full electric I switched my energy supply to Octopus which gives me a £0.05/Kwh rate between 00.30 and 04.30. The app for the charger I've had installed enables me to set the start time to benefit from this rate by enabling "reserved charging". All good so far.
Several...
