    Cruise control

Just so I’m understanding you properly, ‘standard cruise’ is where you set the speed and the car continues at that speed irrespective of any vehicles in front? Whereas adaptive cruise control regulates the speed to maintain a safe distance (which you can adjust) from the vehicle in front. I...

    Cruise control

When replying to this post from 10 months ago, are you talking about adaptive cruise control generally or specifically on your XPOWER?

The Late Brake Show makes a good point about the MG4

So basically if you're considering the Honda e:Ny1 EV, then for £20k less you can get an MG4. Or alternatively, when you can get a Tesla for the same money, who in the hell would buy an e:Ny1?

Are you happy with your MG4?

Probably different ways that the range is predicted. In the end, while seeing the range drop when you need it could be alarming, it won't take long before you get used to seeing how your car predicts the range and you have a better idea of what the real world range is.

Are you happy with your MG4?

How long are your journeys where you have noticed a 50% drop in range? What normally happens is that the predicted range is based on the current energy usage. So it’s assuming that your heater will continue to blast away getting the cabin temp up. Whereas once it’s hit temperature, it dials...

Are you happy with your MG4?

People often come to a forum for information (sometimes before purchasing) but also to get help with issues they have. This can sometimes give the impression that there are lots of problems when, in fact, happy owners, just get on and enjoy their cars without feeling any need to discuss them...

Would you buy an MG 4 again?

I want to comment about LKA lane keep assist. My first experience of it was my 2017 Hyundai Ionic and that worked very well. I ran with it on all the time. My second experience has been my Tesla Model S when autopilot is engaged. That’s not quite as good as it tends to place the car too far...

    Drastic change for me

Teslas, broadly speaking, look bland IMO and that’s because they design them to have the lowest possible coefficient of drag. Within specific use cases (number of passengers, cargo space etc.) there will be an optimal design and cars will evolve towards it. My red Model S, I think looks lovely...

MG EV owners - did you research here before buying your MG?

Yes. Here first and will move it later since cross posting in multiple forums is against the rules.

MG EV owners - did you research here before buying your MG?

This poll is primarily for people who own or who have owned an MG EV and I'm wondering whether you came here to do some research before committing to buy your MG or whether you found this site after purchasing. Please vote in the poll. Thanks

Of course you can. Where did you get that idea?

Does anyone have any video of the Cyberster in the UK that you can share, please?

Thanks. I saw that one. Was hoping for some member video. In any case, the podcast has been done already.

I've changed this thread title to better reflect what happened.

    Autonomous Emergency Braking setting

Phantom braking on my Tesla is horrible. It’s mainly at motorway speed that it brakes suddenly for no reason. My advice to everyone driving a car with any level of automation - you should always be attentive with your hands on the wheel and foot on the accelerator so you can take control if the...

Ordered an MG4, due in 2 weeks

If you’re talking about price, you’re right. Bottom half of all EVs, certainly when it comes to how low the cost is. And so when it come to value for money, it’s easily in the top half. Like if your budget is about £27k, there are very few 250+ mile EVs available. Obviously if you have a bigger...

    MG4 12v battery connector loose

Can you confirm it was as 12v battery issue? My experience is that you have to be careful not to sit in an EV with the ignition on for too long as it might kill your battery. Probably applies to all cars. I had to call the RAC out when I drained my Ioniq battery by listening to the radio for 45...

My car does make some noise

Agree with this. It's pretty quiet. My Model S 75D is actually louder than my Ioniq that it replaced. But then it does have twice as many motors.

Does anyone have any video of the Cyberster in the UK that you can share, please?

I'd like to get some video of the Cyberster in the UK. Does anyone have any video? From Goodwood, for example? If so, could you upload it somewhere like YouTube, Dropbox or Google Drive so I can download it please? I'd like to show it in our next podcast. Thanks

    MG Dealers Ireland

I got my information from the European MG site. I have no insider information, I'm afraid. As soon as new dealers open, I'm happy to add them to the map.

Emergency braking on level crossing with no nearby cars

Is your opinion, not a fact, and expressing it this way is diminishing what v39 felt and presumably still feels now. Think on that.
