It’s as well to remember that a second driver on your policy might be required to ‘rescue’ the main driver and vehicle, if they were unable to drive for some reason.
Friends had a large (over 5 ton) tag axle motorhome, as did we. The wife was on the insurance as a second driver, as it...
I am on a looped electricity supply. I (and my neighbour) originally had 60amp cutouts. I was told there was no issue running my Wallbox, but subsequently, my neighbour declined having their driveway dug up to have a new service connected. I don’t blame them, btw.
I used my 4 hour cheap window...
@Bricktop X PWR - hi, and thanks for your response. I think I eventually came to the same conclusion, but I always assume that Google will have the most up to date information. Apparently not necessarily so!!
Anyway, it’s great that more Tesla superchargers are open to other EVs than are listed...
Zapmap shows that there are Tesla Public Superchargers at Barton Hall Hotel, (listed as Kettering), and also one at Luton Retail Park. So, perhaps the Tesla app is correctly showing me that I could use the one at Kettering after all. It’s just confusing because neither of those locations are...
Thank you for your reply, and yes, I can do that, but it just shows the nearest Tesla charger, which is not open for non-Teslas.
When I look online, I see a screenshot of a page with ‘charge my non-Tesla’. I can’t find that on my app 😞
All the information I can get online about using the app states “click on ‘charging’, then click on ‘charge my non-Tesla’”
I have the latest version of the app, but I don’t have a button that says that…….
Am I being stupid?
This is the first page of the app
The other thing that a canopy could provide (and I see in the photo) is lighting. Some EV charge points are stuck at the edges of car parks, and don’t offer any feeling of security in the dark.
No, I definitely haven’t been unlooped. This was the alternative to having driveways/roads dug up, and (presumably) a much cheaper option for National Grid. Also, very much better for neighbourly relations……
P.S. I am female!!
@siteguru - Ah, I misunderstood! I don’t believe anything was done to my neighbour’s property prior to today.
This is what I have now. It’s in my garage
I have been using my EVSE since getting my car in November 22, with the okay given by Western Power, even though my property is looped through to the next house (all detached, and not even adjacent). My neighbour, quite understandably, did not want their driveway dug up, when it was of no...
I recently renewed (arranged 3 weeks ahead of the date, as advised by Martin Lewis), and mine had increased from approximately £330 last year to £580. But it does additionally depend on age and location, obviously - I have had no claims or speeding tickets etc. Goodness knows what it will be...
I must have tried at least 20 times now. It’s a slow process - ’wait 5 minutes for this to happen, 10 minutes for that process’…… And then the error messages. I’ve had several emails from Octopus now, telling me I haven’t entered the details correctly (even though I used copy and paste) and...
