AA Breakdown Cover - Transferable?

As I am purchasing a second hand MG5 from a Ford dealer - it has MG service history - does the AA breakdown cover automatically transfer to me?

I'm pretty sure the cover goes with the car. If you need to call them you just give the reg number.
It might also be worth ringing them 0800 072 3338 at a non peak (rush) hour to ask if the cover exists, before purchase, and to change anything that may need changing after you buy such as home address for the home cover element.

Yes. As long as the service schedule has been kept up you get the AA cover.

I have rung the AA and yes the cover goes with the car not the driver.

I effectively discounts your servicing cost, which is already much lower than for an ICE vehicle, by £30, compared to buying breakdown cover with your motor insurance.

When I was looking at getting a second MG5 I phoned the AA on the number from their website and gave them the registration from the picture in the advert.
