So my MG4 64kw Luxury 2024 has some 22,000 km. Two months ago, when using ACC set at 80kph (the limit on standard roads in France) it suddenly turned off. I thought it was something I had done but no. This has now become a regular event, the road ahead clear, daylight conditions, and cruising along at 79/80 kph and then suddenly ... it de-activates for absolutely no reason that I can see.
So today we had the first service (but it had had two prior software updates, the last being in July this year, around the time this started !). I mentioned the issue to the workshop but the mechanic reported no issues and that all tested normal.
Have any of you experienced this and, if so, what was the solution. (We are off to Spain next week where a great deal of cruise control is expected !)
Thanks
John

Update : I took the car back to the MG dealer this morning. Getting there resulted in two separte de-activations of the cruise control. The technician suggested that it may be the fact that I use an
OBDLINK CX Bimmercode Bluetooth 5.1 BLE OBD2 Adapter to send data to the ABRP app. However, I said that this device is OFF for all except LONG journeys where I use ABRP. Apart from that, I use WAZE. The technician suggested that even with the device OFF, the fact that it's connected can cause internal "interference". I unplugged it and drove home without any interruption of the Cruise Control.......
It is not ideal but knowing the source of the problem is good to know.
The fact that no one has responded to this thread suggests that perhaps I am alone using the OBDLINK CX Bimmercode Bluetooth 5.1 BLE OBD2 Adapter with their MG4 ?!

Mine does this at least once every journey on the motorway (my journeys are usually 100 miles or so).

Seems to be no reason for it, and no obvious solution to stop it happening. Your issue isn't unique as I have seen many people mention the de-activation for no apparent reason on here.
