So my 2022 build Trophy had the 'they sound like that' noisy AC pump. This was reported, and dismissed in July 2023, come the end of 2024 A/C wasn't getting particularly cold but it was winter. Second service in March this year reported it had failed, 'yes that will be replaced under warranty, might be a few weeks'. April came and went, got phone call while on holiday in Scotland, 'can you bring it in they need video of it', duly done on return. Still waiting for warranty to approve as the cost is well over £1000. No wonder MG has bad reputation.

The videos of the noisy AC pumps were definitely not normal, the MG line of you only hear it as it's an ev and quiet is crap (characteristic)

The wife's car made a racket and MG dismissed it, she checked at work as they are company cars and only a couple of them made the noise.
Wife went back to the garage with a video and eventually after the garage went through the nonsense of asking for permission the AC pump oil was changed.
Been quieter since, took a good few weeks though
