I couldn't connect my Pixel 8 phone to infotainment system tried numerous leads. Bought Carlink Bluetooth connector which works ok for Android Auto ( although sometimes I have to unplug it then reconnect to get it to work). My main issue is if I don't let it fully connect before reversing out of of my drive, I get a black screen on Android Auto. Has anyone else experienced this issue and found a workaround for it? Or does it need an update to the infotainment system. If it does, would that be free or do I need to pay the dealership. Bought the car October 2023

The Carlinkit needs a delay in the settings of 30 seconds which should sort that problem out

It is possible to update the infotainment yourself to either R33 or R38 with a USB flash drive - there is a thread showing how to do this if you do a search.
