Android Auto Not Dimming Screen at Night

That might be why my car has been OK the last couple of times. Pre-heating.

If you go in the Android system you can enable auto brightness. My car doesnt have it in the normal settings so I had to adjust it by hand every time.

Where is that setting? I couldn't find that option.

Neither could I ... not in Android Auto settings anyway. (Nor in AA Developer settings).

That's my experience. I think the car has already sent the Light Status signal before AA has properly started up.

It's just that (see my thread in MG 5 forum regarding the same issue.) The quick fix is to flick the auto lights off and back on again.

Yes. That appears to be the only way. No combination of light or dark mode settings will get it to start in night mode.
The only other way I found is to preheat the car and the lights coming on and going back off remotely seems to do the same.
