Annoying "features" when using a tow bar

Do you think one could be attached, drill a couple of holes somewhere? The aux plates are smaller than regular plates, 252mm x 98mm. Photos on website look like it could be attached where the Yakima label is.

Yep that should be fine in WA the law is a bit obscure. There are two conflicting rules. If you have a bike rack with no bike on it you must display aux plate. If a bike is on the rack then apparently not required. That said if you block 5he primary plate then you may be in breach. However in all my driving kms across WA (40,000) in the mg4 alone and with police cars behind me they have never pulled me up for not having an aux plate....

Don't try it in NSW, they will issue you a penalty notice if anything is blocking any part of the number plate .... even the single bar type with no bikes on it or if the plate is dirty .... one of the boys we were raising at the time, even got knocked off for the P plate hold being mounted on the number plate screws and with the plate in the holder, it blocked the view of the first letter if you were beside the car to the left and looking at that angle ..... I was willing to go through the whole court process with him, but it involves a min of 3 days lost work, the first to hear how you plea, the second the booking officer never turns up and the third to actually hear the case ...... That was more money lost than the fine, so he just paid it .....
