I don't know much about it. I had a new radio fitted to my Fiesta when they turned off the MW radio signal, and nothing since! Are there such things as car audio specialists?

Yes there are. ISound Car Accessories are near you in Newbridge

I have had the car since March 2023 and enjoyed it up
to mid October. It would then only charge from Fast Charge (50kw) poimts.
These are few and far between in this area and expensive.
It took over 6 weeks to get Dealership (Arnold Clark) to take it in for repair. Its been there ever since.
No courtesy has been available inspite of numerous requests.
So I seem to be in perpetual limbo. I have no idea what is going on, MG customer service ia awful/non existant.

I shall never go near MG or this dealership again
We have had the same problem the dealer had the car for 6 weeks I think it was the computer charging unit.

Guys, it's this issue, just in case you haven't already been on the thread.

Someone posted about not having a rear wiper on their SE. I have one on mine,

Personally I don't find LKA too much an issue. But a lot of my driving is on the M5 and I drive pretty straight normally.

I programmed Custom to ECO specs so it's only 2 presses of the right star for me.

My charger finally gets installed Tuesday so I'll be using Sport mode soon. 6 hours at 7.5p/kWh charging at nearly 7 kW will make it nearly nothing to run. Especially from Spring to Autumn then it'll be even more fun to drive. And it won't matter if it stays 2.6mi per kWh after that.

People often come to a forum for information (sometimes before purchasing) but also to get help with issues they have. This can sometimes give the impression that there are lots of problems when, in fact, happy owners, just get on and enjoy their cars without feeling any need to discuss them. Which leaves a disproportionately large proportion of threads posted here being about problems. So let's ask the question.

Are you enjoying your MG4?
I absolutely love my MG4, I have had a couple of courtesy cars over the last few weeks including a Subaru Solettra, but we couldn't wait to get DUUB back.
For me it's a perfect size, realistic speed and extremely comfortable I love it.

What did R33 fix if you don't mind me asking? I guess the next update for Luxury will solve the same problems.

Yes it works well and I don't seem to have many problems with the software once it was sorted out a year ago. Touchscreen is slow but I've got used to it now. Android auto is a boon because that gives me a choice of 3 Sat Nav guides to use. Just about trust the built in one but it has led us astray when a road was blocked

Yes you can ... I have my Left Star button assigned to drive mode. (The Right one is assigned to regen, so it's one press to get to Adaptive).

But for clarity, we have the option of one OR two presses on either left or right STAR buttons giving four custom buttons? Came in with R33??

No - we press once (on either button) to activate the selected function. In my case, pressing the right button cycles through the regen modes (3 > A > 1 > 2 > 3), and pressing the left button cycles through the drive modes (Normal > Sport > Custom > Snow > Eco > Normal). If you have a button allocated for AC then one press opens the AC popup screen (whereupon the right joystick can be used to adjusting temperature [up/down] and fan speed [left/right] or setting the system to Auto [press in]), and another press closes it.

Took delivery of my leased XPOWER on Friday and had the opportunity to give it a blast on the weekend. It came with software version R40.

It does look like I have more dislikes than likes, but my dislikes are mostly really minor things that just stand out because the likes are actually amazing. Definitely happy with it so far and absolutely worth the ~£25/mo in tax liability.

Likes
  • Launch control. What an absolute joy to behold.
  • I've never felt so glued to the road before. The floor was like velcro on corners and roundabouts, even at some pretty spirited speeds.
  • Extremely responsive to acceleration and braking. Steering is spot on too.
  • I have very little vibration at 70+. I was touching 90 without even realising it (on a completely private road... obviously...) My car came wearing the standard Turanzas. I was expecting the worst from prior reading, but honestly it's a complete non-issue.
  • The seats are very smart and super comfortable.
  • My first keyless entry car and it works perfectly. Such a surreal experience just climbing into the seat and immediately driving off.
  • Funnest driving experience I've ever had. An actual joy to be in control of.

Dislikes
  • LKA, whilst very mild at default settings, starts tripping out when I'm driving near the merging point of one particular lane coming into my city centre. I've not had the sudden braking and swerving that I've seen reported, but the wheel did a little jig as a "warning" which was a surprise. I was slap bang in the middle of my lane too!
  • It gets super foggy inside without the fans on. I imagine there's a lot less hot air coming from the motors as opposed to an ICE engine, so this may just be an EV thing in colder weather.
  • Dash can be a little quirky and the radio volume took a lock/unlock cycle to start responding to controls at one point.
  • Automatic high beams seem to pick and choose their moments. The car flashed someone by itself last night...! (clear, flat road).
  • The wireless charger may as well be a missile launcher in the XPOWER. I had to buy a silicon mat to prevent my Samsung from exiting via the passenger window when cornering. Whoever designed that thing had no real-world experience of driving a car outside of a motorway at all.
  • Even with the silicon mat, the phone still moves slightly and this disrupts the wireless charging. Nothing huge, but hearing your phone go "BA DA" as it reconnects to the charger every five minutes is a little annoying. I can't help but feel a better place for it would have been a recess at the bottom of the console, akin to the Seat Arona.
  • The wing mirror warning lights for vehicles approaching your wing are a little distracting as they're the same colour and approximate location as wing mirror indicators. I guess that's the point -- they are warnings, after all -- but several times I've noticed cars approaching my outside slow down when they go off and I can't help but think other drivers are mistaking them for indication.
  • Interior lights are pretty naff compared to the LED profile of everything else. I know the rear indicators aren't LED either, but I'm never going to see them.
edit: spelling.
