Battery Charging % status on dashboard

Hi. So when EV is plugged in, the battery % charging status appears on the dashboard. After about a minute it disappears and then the only way I seem to be able to get it back is by turning the power on, allowing it to get to ready state and then power it off again. The battery % charging status then appears again.

is there a simpler way of doing this and getting the status back on the dashboard?

If you are sitting in the car, just press the brake.

Outside the car, press the button on the handle with the keys out of range

Thanks. I tried this but the dash remains blank. Do I press the brake while the car is ON or OFF?

My car is off with me sitting in it with the doors locked (can't charge unlocked). Not even the radio on

The car should be off.

I can get in and out without locking the doors to do the charging, I find that really handy, so I just have to open the door to see the % in the dash. Before i touched the door handle with the key out of the way.
