I agree that I could adapt to a Renault set up, given a bit of time I think anyone could. There are a lot of stalks though.Driven my relatives Mégane numerous times and it works better than it looks.
2 normal stalks
One for gear selector, like numerous other EVs
Big button on bottom right is drive modes, works perfect.
Paddles are regen levels up one side down the other.
Stalk for media/radio.
Physical buttons for fan speed, temp, heated seats, steering wheel, rear demister and physical buttons for lka, safety systems.
I really dislike the media/radio stalk being invisible (on some cars) behind the wheel, that seems a senseless choice.
How is it safer? The simplicity of the 4 is good for me. I don't change regen settings while I drive and it has a really nice layout of on-wheel controls for various functions plus the two traditional stalks, which I find works really well.It's a better safer setup than the 4 and my Born, not driven the IMs but they are also touch screen heavy
