Driven my relatives Mégane numerous times and it works better than it looks.
2 normal stalks
One for gear selector, like numerous other EVs
Big button on bottom right is drive modes, works perfect.
Paddles are regen levels up one side down the other.

Stalk for media/radio.

Physical buttons for fan speed, temp, heated seats, steering wheel, rear demister and physical buttons for lka, safety systems.
I agree that I could adapt to a Renault set up, given a bit of time I think anyone could. There are a lot of stalks though.

I really dislike the media/radio stalk being invisible (on some cars) behind the wheel, that seems a senseless choice.
It's a better safer setup than the 4 and my Born, not driven the IMs but they are also touch screen heavy
How is it safer? The simplicity of the 4 is good for me. I don't change regen settings while I drive and it has a really nice layout of on-wheel controls for various functions plus the two traditional stalks, which I find works really well.

I would say it's safer because if you need to change anything whilst driving everything is to hand on a physical button, no menus to access
It is why MG listened to feedback and have moved back to more physical buttons

There are some physical buttons with the MG4 and I adjust the AC via the right hand wheel buttons, media volume and phone pickup and ACC also via buttons on the wheel.

So for me, the only reason I need to touch any screens is CarPlay and I can use voice for that if I choose.

That and the changes to NCAP/EU rules that will require a minimum set of buttons in future.

It's a fair argument but I don't find myself reaching for the centre screen. Maybe that is just me.
