BYD's new hot hatchback ?

You know all about my work on the Lockerbie bombing evidence, then?
No, please enlighten me past the fact it was obviously a terrorist attack. By folk that hate Western ideals/values.
Are the same folk that we are now importing the same folk at present!

No. I'm just pointing out that you know nothing about me, or about my history and degree of expertise in investigating suspect narratives, or my publications on that front. But carry on bleating about sheeple all you like.

Speaking of conspiracy theories, and getting back to the BYD fire, my YouTube feed has plenty if videos on how BYD got to be the number one EV maker in the world with a lot of support from the Chinese government. And that the support has largely dried up a few years ago, and as a result BYD has thousands of unsold cars now in vast parking lots. I have no evidence for or against this, and little interest.

But if true, that would cause an incentive for some of those unsold vehicles to accidentally or otherwise catch fire, and presumably bring in some insurance money. Again, I have zero evidence for this idea.

I'll say however that the Chinese government does seem to be supporting certain industries, with spectacular success, and it's causing problems for many countries that are losing traditional sources of employment, such as the German car industry.

Seemingly, full EV owners are actually EVangelists who will defend their choices at any cost? 🤔
I've recently dipped my toe into partial EV ownership. And (seemingly naively) I kinda expected support from full EV owners 🤔
But apparently, I've made a huge mistake?
Regardless of the fact it currently seems to work for me? 🤣

Not all EV owners.
But there seems to be several EVangelists? 🙄

Ok, Please educate me Rolfe.
Education = knowledge 🙂
And knowledge = power 🤗

The report is that the fire started due to construction work near or beside the car park, which was a storage facility for used crash test cars and similar. Probably cars there with damaged batteries. But it was quickly brought under control and nobody was hurt.

I see no reason to disbelieve that account of what happened.

Oh I'm sure if we really thought hard enough about it we could come up with a juicy conspiracy theory to support views that possibly DJT as part of his efforts to keep Chinese EVs out of the good ol' USofA sent in a crack black ops team to sabotage the credibility of such vehicles. The squad are still there somewhere as there was no end game to the mission planned, so expect more mysterious fires in Chinese EV factories until they run out of Molotov cocktails.

Don't ya just love a conspiracy theory, and don't forget you can't disprove a conspiracy theory just by spouting nonsense like facts.

:)

Yep, facts always get in the way of a bit of good old Bullshit. To be honest is anyone on here really bothered about the BYD fire. As no one (thank god) was hurt. Does it actually make you think any less of EVs.
Unfortunately shit like that happens, all the time. But obviously coz it's EV related. It's blown out of all proportion. 🙄🙂👍

Ref the registration number, allegedly, the footage was faked to fit the narrative?
I won't go into any more detail. Other than the fact someone very close to me at the time worked for JLR.
I don't expect you to believe me Rolfe.

But consider this for a moment...
The government want us all out of ICE vehicles & into EV's.
There's been relatively isolated incidents of EV's going up in flames.
So said one-off incidents are fairly easily brushed under the carpet.

Then one allegedly EV vehicle costs Luton airport & dozens of car insurance companies millions of pounds.
Do you see a possible incentive to claim the vehicle in question wasn't an EV? 🤔
I guess the multi storey car park fire in Liverpool that was started by a land rover was faked as well?
I mean it's not like 112,000 got recalled for fire risks is it?

I haven't heard about that incident.
And honestly, I don't care if nobody believes me about the Luton incident.
Opinions are like bum holes, everyone has one! 😉
Facts aren't opinions, but as it's a public forum then opinions are what make it.
