My fan system has stopped working, no air is coming out.
The temperature shows -40 celsius, while where I live the temperature is 5 celsius.
I can't change the speed or change the temperature
Has anyone experienced this and have a solution?
The workshop visit is in 2 weeks...

Is the external temperature sensor broken or iced over? You can see it poking through the front grill next to the front number plate

Did you get this fixed? What was the problem? I have this exact same issue 3 days after it went into MG garage for service! Hoping I doing get carded for this!

Has the dealer done any updates? They may have failed, or some dealers don't run through the complete process it seems. Might be worth checking directly with the dealer seeing as the car has been there only days ago.

It was fine initially but after charging for first time since, I got in car to drive and it was - 40°C.

They did software updates and everything was factory reset. Have it booked into garage on Thursday but they say there might be £150 diagnostic charge

I would refuse to pay any charges to diagnose a fault they most likely caused. A fair amount of dealers seem to run updates via usb but then don’t reconfigure the car using SIPS, which I think is through a laptop, I’m not sure. I’m just regurgitating what I’ve read on this forum 🤭

I wouldn't be paying anything that is a joke and makes a mockery of the warranty, there is quite clearly a fault

I previously did the usb update which stopped me being able to select battery charge on the car display. That's now fixed so pretty sure they did the other one. Also during the service my phone got sent a bunch of nofitications of air bags deploying and emergency braking 🤣 I was a little worried they had written off the car!

When I dropped off car the paper said £193 diagnostic for - 40°C and £193 diagnostic for air not working! Thankfully they fixed by software hard reset and did not charge. Just hoping it doesn't happen again when I next charge to 100%
