The MG4 poverty pack 51, showed an amber colour on the battery % SOC bar yesterday and it stayed that way until the car was shutdown when we stopped at the eye specialist, then green when we set off again ......

Anyone had this and have any idea what it was trying to tell me? It had been on a 10 amp slow charge and left on charge until the green lights went out around the plug ..... and probably another 5 hrs or more after that really, so, if was supposed to be doing a balance charge, it had all the time in the world to get it done ....

There is an old and long thread about it, I think the consensus ended up with its mostly a software glitch when it happens at higher states of charge.

Personally I’ve never seen red, not even at 4%, and amber happens around 16% I think.

Well, there you go, MG is right onto these faults, this was Nov 2022 that it appeared on the forum, a bit over 3 yrs later and the problem is still there
If is wasn't for this great forum, I'd think there was a serious problem ....
I could try contacting the place I bought it or MG itself ..... Let's see who can come up with the most likely response

I'll start out with "This is feature to show you the bar can show in different colours"

What did the eye specialist say?🫣
G'day Terry, how are you going .... Same as usual ;) And when he is about to jab the needle in he says "look at my mask" The real concentration is not just keeping the eye still, but keeping the focus constant, the needle goes into the back of the eye, through the coloured part beside the lense .... any change in focus tears the inside of the eye around the needle ..... the first give away is black bubbles mixed with the clear bubbles of the stuff injected, the second give away is about an hr later, when the aesthetic drops wear off .... about the closest I can give as a comparison, is a really bad welding arc flash mixed with metal in the eye and the crater left when they pick it out .....

Beat you are all looking forward to getting wet macular degeneration now :ROFLMAO:

It might sound bad, but I would have been blind within a week if the young professor hadn't acted straight away like he did .... all the others wanted to leave it for a few mths so it fitted in with the appointment timetable. Rapid onset wet macular degeneration is rare, but not that rare if you know what I mean
