It looks like they intend the network to close at the end of the year.. mostly.. The link below gives some detail and a faq but the faq is a bit confusing as it says chargers will be migrating away because the contract is ending but also some answers suggest it will continue. I think most CPS chargers will be gone and possibly just a few remain.
All the more reason to get that electroverse card.

No idea m8 but some of them would be I'm sure. From what I read there nobody knows anything about what the situation will be with each owner until they decide to move and who they move to.

From the website - "On the dedicated CPS transition webpage (HERE) there will be a table charting all charge point owner progress on migrating away from CPS, including estimated dates for migration."

Unfortunately, clicking on HERE leads to "Page Under Construction". Great.

Did you receive an email from them about this?

I've been with CPS for nearly 3 years (though only used them sporadically) but this is the first I've heard of this.

No, I originally heard it from a guy I know who owns a charger. CPS are contacting owners asking them to pick a new network and he said the plan was to have it all completed by the end of the year.

I went looking for info and found that link on the cps website.

Looks like the transition page (when it's working) will be the source of info for us. Chargeplace Scotland won't have any info on which network an owner goes to unless they tell them I suppose.

I can't see it being a major problem getting a charge since all the rapids will now have contactless. The slower 7kw chargers will still need an app or a card though.

So Chargeplace Scotland is ending, I think (hope) that everyone affected knows about it by now, but a stay of execution has been 'granted' and the new finish date is "end of december 2026", not 2025 as it was.

This is probably because of the lethargy of charger owners finding new homes, though many have already moved or are in the process. Highland, Moray and Aberdeenshire are all moving over to a new provider Ezo (used Ezo the other day, prices have gone up and they want a £50 block on your debit card). Dundee have gone to E-connect, probably the easiest change since they are Swarco and ran Chargeplace Scotland anyway.
Further South I don't know, I rarely have to travel that far South but I reckon we have a year of upheaval and turmoil ahead.
We've been pretty sheltered from the different network every 15 miles issues that England has had but I think we're about to get a taste of it.

I’ve been using the Arnold Clarke Charge set up recently and find them generally very good. They were, and some are still, reserved for folks who book them ahead. I tried that and found it totally useless unless you knew almost to the minute when you’d arrive.
Apparently I wasn’t the only one who moaned to them and now they only have a couple reserved for booking at each site.
I’ve used their units a Stirling, Aberdeen and Ayr and use my Electroverse card successfully.
They’re Kempower units and seem to rattle the electrons into the Berlingo pretty quickly.
Sad to hear of the demise of CPS. It was easier dealing with one lot than a hoard of different entities. Hopefully Electroverse has most of them covered.

I merged this with your earlier thread to keep it all together. I just hope the damn chargers continue to work.
Thanks, forgot about this one.

The Ezo network seems to work in a similar way to cps, if you want to use a card or fob you can get one, just have to link a debit card to your account with them. Failing that just use contactless but mind the £50 block on your card. I'm seeing more and more Highland chargers turning from cps blue to Ezo red decals and I think it's catching a lot of company drivers out.
