I have a test drive booked tomorrow, and I wanted to know in advance what cable is supplied with the car?

Hi, the early batches came with a type2 cable as they could not supply the granny EVSE.
You will have to check with your dealer but try and get a deal for both failing that try for some mats or flaps.

But it doesn't do any charging it just switches power on to the car.

I assume by "Granny" you mean 3 pin plug?

Yes, I used mine for 6 weeks until my 7kWh EVSE was installed.

Granny EVSE? Want to haggle some mats if not included, also want the better charging cable, as can charge at work for free.

You can use any good quality 32A single phase type2 to type2 cable and probably cheaper than the MG one.

Does a bit of handshake and tells the car how much go go juice it can suck from the wall but yeah charger is a bit of misnomer ?

That is a sad change. When I got mine 5 weeks ago they supplied the Type 2 charger. The dealer did say it was due to no stock of the granny charger but they don't know what they are gonna get.

It was £85 through the Tesla app and is decent quality. Glad I saw the post as saved me a fortune and allows me to get 11kw AC (on the Trophy/LR) if I use a 3 Phase charger at my Brothers work.
