Charging Socket

Should the large charging socket have a cap over it like the lower section? I have contacted the dealer and he says not, I`m not sure if he is fobbing me off.

No, there's no cap on the upper section.

It's protected by the flap when not charging, and by the cable when charging. The lower section would be open during AC charging so needs it's own plug
