Connectivity/SIM MG ZS EV 2022

Hello.
Does anyone know if the MG ZS EV 2022 came with the built-in SIM in the car, as the signal on my infotainment mostly shows no signal or may come on and go off quickly. See photo.
I imported my car from Thailand to Bermuda, and wondering if the SIM can be updated with local Bermuda SIM service.
Have been using a EV electronics service here locally though infotainment attempts have been unsuccessful.

my guess is that it uses Thai SIM/network so it won't connect to your local network. It may be electronic SIM so it needs programming. Is there any MG dealer where you live? If not, try contacting MG customer services that covers your location.
In my view, you don't really need it if you use Android Auto or Apple CarPlay...but, at the same time, you may not be able to use MG iSmart app ... can you check if that works?

You are correct, I have not been able do use the ismart app. When my vehicle first landed in Bermuda the QR code appeared to scan the app to download but of course the app was not available in my area. I created a UK Apple account to obtain the MG app on my iPhone and purchased a UK SIM card I used in another phone to attempt login. By then the QR code did not appeared and has not since. I did set up an account to login with a phone number and password and was able to open the app but not bind the car. I’m plan to give it another try.

Read the forum about binding the car and the app; it won't help you much but get the customer support email (email will be on some of the posts) and ask them for help but to be honest, don't expect much. I think you need to sort out the car connectivity first as it uses mobile phone signal to communicate with the app. See how far you get with customer support.

Worst case scenario, you can't use iSmart and have to use Apple CarPlay for live traffic updates. Overall, not losing much, the car is still nice without those few features ...

Thank you for this info! Also, the MG dealer in Bermuda is not full service, sales only (car and accessories), and the versions they imported are different from mine (not ismart, long radio antennas), plus the mechanic/garage they recommend for servicing is where I take my car. I’ll try that garage again with my new questions. They couldn’t sort my infotainment Thai language, so as you said I don’t expect much. CarPlay has been good. I am enjoying the car as is, and always open to learn more in the forum here.
